New Research Director appointed

The National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse welcomes Adjunct Associate Professor Dominiek Coates to lead its research and evaluation activities.
Dominiek brings 20 years of experience working in the area of violence and abuse against women and children, and is committed to reducing and responding to child sexual abuse, through research, and evidence-based and trauma-informed practice.
She has extensive experience leading and supporting implementation and participatory research, and evaluations, to support best practice. This experience spans a range of settings, including universities, hospitals, government and community organisations.
National Centre CEO, Craig Hodges, said Dominiek’s appointment is an important milestone in the establishment of the new entity.
“We are excited that someone with her experience and recognition has chosen to help create the new National Centre.”
As a first priority, Dominiek will work with National Centre survivor Colleges, researchers, practitioners and other stakeholders to develop our research agenda and priorities.
