The National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse was formally announced in October 2021. The formation of the National Centre is a result of key recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The Centre will be survivor-focussed incorporating the voice and lived expertise of survivors of all life stages, backgrounds and communities. The Centre will work in collaboration with major research institutions, state and commonwealth governments, service providers, schools, and law enforcement agencies.
As a result five Executive Manager marquee opportunities critical to the future of this once in a generation initiative are being actively recruited. The positions can be based in either Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney
Government, Philanthropy & Community Engagement
Lead government, philanthropic and community engagement strategies, leveraging relationships to advance the Centre’s vison and purpose. Contribute to strategic planning and governance, ensuring all communications and stakeholder engagement activities are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, transparent, targeted & effective. #824827
Knowledge Translation
Lead the development, implementation and integration of The Centre’s strategic vision for the transfer of evidence from lived experience, practice and research to awareness, policy and practice in the area of child sexual abuse prevention and survivor recovery. #824831
Research, Evaluation & Knowledge Generation
Lead the development and implementation of the research, evaluation and knowledge generation agenda commissioning key research projects. Via collaboration and partnerships deliver thought leadership & resources by building capacity and research capability, creating and collating knowledge and driving evaluations of effective programs and responses. #824834
Innovation in Intervention and Recovery
Drive innovation in national leadership, capacity building, research and evaluation for intervention and recovery related to child sexual abuse. Develop and implement policies and procedures and optimise the Centre’s effectiveness, efficiency and compliance. Recruiting early 2022 #828681
Finance and Operations
Lead business operations and corporate responsibilities across the key functions to position the Centre to deliver contractual and operational obligations, while ensuring systems are in place to inform monitoring of quality, performance and financial targets. Recruiting early 2022 #828675
