There are elements of the National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse’s website which can be viewed without providing personal information. However, if you choose to Connect with Us by subscribing or submitting a comment you will be required to submit personally identifiable information including your name and email address. The National Centre for Action on Child Abuse collects and uses your personal information to operate the National Centre website, communicate with you effectively and provide you with accurate information.

Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service and will be required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

You have a right to access your personal information held by the National Centre, subject to exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons. The National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to, your information on a per request basis.

Correcting your personal information

The National Centre will take all reasonable steps to ensure the information we collect and hold about you is correct and up to date.

If you believe the information we hold about you is inaccurate you may request, in writing, that we update that information. Where the National Centre is satisfied that the information we hold is inaccurate, we will take all reasonable steps to correct this information within 30 days. If we determine the information we hold does not require correction, we will advise you in writing.
